JOB DESCRIPTION

The Team Member will be responsible for ensuring that the retail location operates in accordance with the company's principles, systems, and culture. The ideal candidate will provide excellent service to team members, customers, and management, assisting in day-to-day operations, maintaining the store’s cleanliness and visual appearance, and supporting the General Manager and Assistant Manager in achieving goals and maintaining profitability. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a desire to deliver a positive and memorable customer experience. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB TASKS

1. Oversight of assigned retail location. Tasks may include: Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering their questions, and providing product information and recommendations Maintain the store’s cleanliness and visual appearance, including stocking and organizing products, and keeping the store tidy and presentable Ensures the highest standards of food safety are being met Accurately handle customer transactions Follow all company policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation guidelines Communicate effectively with team members and management, including reporting any inventory or customer service issues Continuously develop knowledge of product, promotions, and operational changes; identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth. (Continually looks for new and improved ways of completing the above functions. Other tasks as assigned by senior management or ownership team will be performed to address unexpected situations or needs that may arise.)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position requires the ability to interact with others inside and outside at all levels of the organization on a daily basis. Obtaining information from others on a daily basis is necessary to complete job tasks. Additionally, negotiation, persuasion, and diplomacy skills are required daily in addressing the concerns and questions of customers. Enhancing the company's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value are a job requirement.

CUSTOMER SERVICE/INTERACTION:

Daily face-to-face, phone and email interaction with customers and support staff throughout the organization. Frequent face-to-face interaction with management to exchange information and complete work tasks. This position has direct interaction with customers, so proper tone of voice, body language, and volume are required in this environment.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

2+ years of high school, preferred

Customer-focused attitude and strong communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills Passion for food and a desire to deliver exceptional customer service Ability to be self-motivated, problem-solver, and take initiative Ability to be productive, punctual, reliable, and adaptable

EXPERIENCE:

At least 16 years of age A minimum of 1 year work experience in retail and/or food service environment, preferred

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

Food handlers course completion preferred

PHYSICAL:

Requires regular bending, stooping and twisting, and the ability to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work in close quarters with others. Must be able to visualize the computer screen and perform data entry.
