Machine Operator - 1st Shift

Are you a skilled print manufacturing professional with an eye for precision and craftsmanship? Randstad is seeking a dedicated 3-Knife Operator for a local company. In this pivotal role, you will be directly responsible for setting up and operating our high-speed 3-knife trimmers and book saws on perfect binding lines. You will ensure every publication leaving our floor strictly adheres to job specifications and meets our customers' highest quality expectations.

salary: $35,360 - $39,520 per year
shift: First
work hours: 6 AM - 4:30 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

The 3-Knife Operator is responsible for setting up and running the 3-knife trimmer and book saw
on the perfect binders according to job specifications and for inspecting product to ensure bound
books meet customer quality expectations.

● Set up 3-knife trimmer, book saw and delivery table or stacker.
● Change dull knife and saw blades.
● Supervise the quality of production with team members.
● Make adjustments as necessary to ensure product quality.
● Maintain the equipment, clean it and keep it in working order.
● Assist with estimating department on quoting complex or out-of-the-ordinary projects.
● Work with the shift supervisor to ensure that projects are kept on schedule.
● Review daily production data of hourly staff.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• standing for 10 hours at one time
