Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including thorough medical histories and physical examinations, to develop accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

• Work alongside physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide holistic care, ensuring the seamless coordination of services.

• Utilize the EPIC EMR to document all patient encounters promptly and accurately, contributing to the facility’s commitment to exceptional patient care.

• Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments, while educating patients and their families about preventive care strategies and healthy lifestyle choices.

• Monitor and manage chronic health conditions, making appropriate referrals to specialists as needed, to guarantee continuity of care.

• Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing clinical protocols and patient satisfaction outcomes.

• Engage in ongoing learning about the latest medical advancements, integrating evidence-based practices into your daily care routines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be serving a diverse patient population, ranging from newborns to the elderly. Your commitment to preventive care will be pivotal in addressing not just immediate health concerns but also long-term wellness, thereby significantly impacting the health trajectory of families in the Tampa area.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

• Current PA certification and state licensure are required upon hiring.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Physician Assistant in a family practice or similar setting is preferred.

• Demonstrated skills in active listening, critical thinking, and effective communication.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic medical records, specifically the EPIC system, is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
