Vice President-Finance [ Pittsburgh area ]

Salary : $200,000.00 - $ 260,000.00 + 25% BONUS + LTI [ Stock ] + 401K

Searching for a Senior Manager/ V P of Finance with 8 + years Heavy Manufacturing , Multi Plant , Union experience .

Must have Strong financial /analytical skills ; Budget/Cost ; Technology .

Supervisory experience[ 5-10 on Staff ]

International experience is a Preference

Directs all financial activities, including development, analysis, and implementation of short and long-term strategic forecasts, reporting, and budgeting. Ensures fair and accurate presentation of balance sheet, statement of operations, and statement of cash flow for the company, in accordance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates corporate financial planning and management functions.
• Ensures cohesiveness of multi-departmental financial goals and corporate objectives
• Analyzes and interprets financial data and recommends changes to improve financial performance.
• Directs preparation and presentation of the annual business plan financial projections to executive management.
• Directs preparation and presentation of short-term and long-term projections of operating results to executive management.
• Directs preparation of annual rates used for standard inventory costing.
• Develops, analyzes and presents financial projections for new and existing business endeavors.
• Directs monthly, quarterly and annual financial consolidation and reporting .
• Responsible for the fair and accurate representation of routine and non-routine information published and disseminated from the Accounting Department.
• Establishes and oversees the continued effectiveness of internal control procedures governing the processing and reporting of financial and non-financial information in accordance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Establishes and oversees the continued effectiveness of internal control procedures to prevent and detect fraud in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

Staff Responsibilities

• Responsible to uphold the ideals set forth in the company’s mission statement.
• Responsible within functional areas to ensure employee competence, set direction, and determine best methods to meet or exceed corporate objectives as set forth in the annual Business Plan.

Management/Supervisory Responsibilities

• Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
• Directly supervises 5-10 employees; monitors work quality, including conducting performance appraisals and providing counseling for improved performance.
• Recruits and selects department personnel, with assistance from Human Resources staff.

Education/Experience (all education/experience bullets are required unless noted as “preferred”)

• BS/BA Degree, preferably in Accounting/Finance; MBA preferred
• 8 +years accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment
• 8 + years relevant supervisory experience

• Proven ability to make sound decisions under tight time constraints that have far-ranging impact and consequences, choosing appropriately among a wide variety of solutions to make decisions in the best interests of the corporation
