- # Behavioral Health Therapist, Behavioral Health Urgent Care, Non-ExemptApply: Concord, NC: Part time: Posted Today: R13159**Scheduled Weekly Hours:**16**Schedule**:Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM**Pay Range Minimum:**$32.69**Education We're Looking for:**Masters: Human Services (Required)**Certifications We're Looking For:**Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor - Associate (LCMHC-A) - State Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Associate (LCSW-A) - State Social Work Certification and Licensure Board, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - Associate (LMFT-A) - State Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure Board**Experience We're Looking For:**Counseling/Therapy Experience | Not RequiredExperience in a crisis management setting or service during which the individual provided crisis response | 1 Year | Required**Additional Details:****The Behavioral Health Therapist, Behavioral Health Urgent Care should have one of the following minimum qualifications:*** **LCSW*** **LCMHC*** **LMFT****Job Description Summary:**The primary responsibilities of the BHUC Therapist is to provide a clinical assessment to determine the level of behavioral health and substance use services needed for persons of all ages who present to the BHUC, and are experiencing psychological and/or substance use difficulties.**What You'll Do:**1. Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment while persons supported receive services and help facilitate appropriate linkage and transition to additional services or into the community upon discharge. 2. Participate in team meetings, and discharge planning for all individuals served on the Behavioral Health Urgent Care. 3. Serve as a resource for non-licensed staff by assisting with in-service training and supports to educate BHUC staff in the areas of mental health and substance abuse. 4. Perform interviews with individuals and/or families to aid in identifying presenting problems, assessing mental status and dangerousness, gathering relevant facts of psychosocial history, and assigning accurate diagnoses that will help determine the best intervention to help the individual and his or her family achieve stated goals. 5. Provide expertise in assessing psychiatric crises and crisis intervention while working closely with other BHUC staff. 6. Maintain necessary medical records in compliance with state, federal, and agency guidelines. 7. Assist individuals and families in meeting other psychosocial needs by referring them to appropriate outside agencies upon discharge from the BHUC (such as specialty providers, doctors, social services, and other community resources) and providing information needed within the guidelines of confidentiality standards. 8. Provide crisis assessments, stabilization, and service coordination in order to de-escalate crisis and potential crisis situations in an effort to maintain lowest level of care that promotes safety. 9. Maintain licensure as required by licensing board and attend educational trainings/seminars to remain up to date on current best practices. 10. Maintain positive working relationships within the communities served, including with individuals, families, staff, monitoring and licensing agencies, organizations, funding resources, and other human service agencies. 11. Be an active participant in the ongoing continuous quality improvement activities of the agency. 12. Provide clinical consultation as required or requested by other professionals within Monarch to provide ongoing professional development and to process difficult client situations that may arise. 13. Drive or travel to community locations, various agencies, and other outreach destinations as assigned. 14. Attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required. Maintain certification in all agency, state and federal training requirements. 15. Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures, as well as state and federal statutes and regulations related to specific program areas 16. Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations. 17. Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures. 18. Follow service definition guidelines for services being provided. 19. Complete all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
