Product Line Manager

Product Line Manager – AMS Region Covestro is a leading supplier of high‑tech polymer materials. The Product Line Manager is responsible for the development and execution of short‑ and long‑term strategies within the AMS region, reporting to the Head of PPS. Responsibilities Develop annual sales budget and quarterly forecasts for assigned product lines; align contribution targets to segments for execution of short‑ and long‑range strategic goals. Devises strategic plans to maximize utilization of existing assets and facilities while ensuring maximum profitability consistent with Business Entity objectives. Participate actively in regional segment strategy execution and planning. Develop guide and limit pricing for product lines based on market dynamics and manufacturing economics (raw materials, conversion, packaging, logistics). Align pricing to appropriate segments and communicate to the commercial team for implementation. Maximise product line profitability through optimisation of Margin1, Margin2 and EBIT by evaluating customer/product mix, portfolio management, raw material sourcing, asset utilisation and overhead cost analysis. Assist in minimising working capital via effective inventory management, including reduction of aged inventory and strategic supply agreements for MTS inventory. Develop business cases for regional capital projects. Lead and manage allocation processes, analyse supply predictions with forecasted demand and open orders. Attend key weekly update meetings and provide monthly customer allocation communications. Support the new product development process through guidance on portfolio expansion and product costing/profitability measurement. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, technical or related field. 6+ years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the chemical industry and in films. Experience in sales, marketing, supply chain or product management. Experience in project management. Knowledge & Skills Moderately experienced SAP user. Intermediate Excel skills. Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels and to find compromises. Strong business acumen with ability to balance competing objectives and handle uncertainty. Change‑management mindset with strong adaptability. High attention to detail and drive for results. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $103,867 – $192,954. Full‑time role including competitive pay, annual bonus potential and generous paid time off.
