Watts is a leading brand with a quality reputation — and we have a dynamic future ahead.​Scope of PositionWatts Water Technologies is seeking a highly motivated, experienced accountant to join its Americas accounting team in the role of Senior Accountant. The candidate will play an integral part in the Watts’ internal and external financial reporting processes and will be part of the general ledger accounting team.This role will be hybrid in North Andover, reporting to the Sr. Manager.Primary Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists with the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statementsResponsible for the timely and accurate preparation of monthly journal entries and detailed account reconciliationsResponsible for maintaining assigned balance sheet accounts in compliance with related accounting policies, etc.Participate in monthly reporting to HFM such as loading monthly trial balance and supplemental data formsMeets with team and Manager to review and analyze their accounting reports and balance sheet analytical reportingTrack performance against budget and forecasts and explain variances for certain operating expensesAssist and support SAP implementationAssist with QAD system reporting process improvementsAssist with continuous process improvementMaintain certain SOX control documentation related to internal controls over financial reporting and participate in annual SOX testing requirementsResponsible for preparation of Audit Schedules as well as other analyses for the year-end auditAssists the manager with the preparation and implementation of accounting policies and proceduresRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field5+ years’ working in Accounting fieldExperience with large, manufacturing, multi-national, public corporationsPrevious General Ledger experience required, SAP Experience required, large ERP system experience, QAD experience a plusExcellent system and computer skills, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)Strong Excel skills including: vlookup, sumifs, pivot tables, ability to effectively manipulate and organize large amounts of dataSuperior organization skills, ability to multi-task and re-arrange priorities as needed, monitor workflow in meeting critical deadline and project timetablesSelf-motivated, problem solver, strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environmentTeam player, strong communication skillsHigh Level of analytic and quantitative skillsExcellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills are essentialMust be flexible and able to accurately work under time constraints and deadlinesTravel up to 10%General Applicable Company CompetenciesCommitment to Watts’ values of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation, and transparency.Punctuality and dependability.Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditions.Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by Watts.Maintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employees.Adherence to Watts’ seven cultural beliefs: Growth Mindset, Customer-Focused Innovation, Constant Communication, Clear Goals, Collaborate Globally, Be Inclusive, and Take Action.Working ConditionsWhile performing the job duties, you will be working in an office environment. You will be required to work in the office at the North Andover location three days per week (Monday – Wednesday) and can work remotely two days per week (Thursday and Friday).Physical Requirements:Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods.Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials.Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks.Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls.Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.Pay RangeThe expected salary range for this position is $95,000- $106,000 yearly.
