Inventory Associate

An Inventory Associate supports day-to-day stock control in a fast-paced Queens operation. This role helps keep merchandise organized, counted, and available for internal use or customer orders. Typical duties include receiving shipments, comparing items against packing slips, labeling and shelving products, rotating stock, updating inventory records, and reporting shortages, damages, or discrepancies. The position may also involve preparing materials for transfer, assisting with periodic cycle counts, and maintaining a clean and orderly storage area. Basic qualifications usually include prior warehouse, stockroom, or inventory experience, attention to detail, basic computer or handheld scanner skills, and the ability to follow written procedures accurately. Good communication and reliability are important for working with teammates and supervisors. Physical demands commonly include standing for long periods, lifting moderate to heavy boxes, bending, reaching, and moving items safely with proper equipment. The schedule is full time and may include set weekday hours with occasional early starts, late finishes, or weekend shifts depending on operational needs.
