Logistics Operator
Our client, a leading organization in the food ingredients industry, is seeking a dedicated Logistics Operator to join their team. As a Logistics Operator, you will be an integral part of the Warehouse Operations supporting Shipping & Receiving and overall Logistics functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Logistics Operator
Location: Melville, NY
Pay Range: $21 - $22/hr
Shift: 5am – 2:30pm; Occasional OT and Weekend Work
What's the Job?
- Plan, organize, and participate in daily warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving activities.
- Verify and record all incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
- Maintain updated records in inventory and shipping databases, including inputting data and generating reports.
- Assist in quarterly inventories and weekly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to load and unload trucks.
What's Needed?
- 2 years of previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to be trained and certified in forklift operation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
