This position offers a unique chance to play a pivotal role within the Qualcomm Technology Licensing (QTL) Finance organization, providing financial and strategic decision support. QTL grants licenses or otherwise provides rights to use portions of our intellectual property portfolio, which includes certain patent rights essential to and/or useful in the manufacture and sale of certain wireless products. The Financial Analyst will support strategic decision-making through financial modeling, forecasting, strategic planning, and performance analysis.


The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in financial principles, excellent analytical and modeling skills, and the ability to clearly communicate financial insights and trends to senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. The candidate is comfortable using AI-enabled and advanced analytics tools to improve efficiency, support forecasting and variance analysis, and enhance the quality of financial insights, while applying sound judgment and attention to detail.

In office position 5 days a week. Must be in San Diego.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare and analyze quarterly and annual financial results, including analysis related to prior-period services
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to support near-term and long-term strategic planning
• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers and translate them into financial insights
• Prepare executive-level presentations, variance analyses, and performance summaries for leadership
• Support strategic initiatives through ad hoc analysis and scenario modeling
• Contribute to systems, reporting, and process enhancements to improve efficiency and data quality
• Leverage AI-enabled analytics and automation tools to streamline financial analysis, enhance forecasting and scenario modeling, and improve the accuracy, efficiency, and insightfulness of reporting outputs

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master's = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Preferred Qua lifications:

• Familiarity with large-company financial systems and planning tools (Oracle, Tableau, Cognos TM1or similar)
• Familiarity with automation or AI-enabled tools (Microsoft Co-pilot, n8n, Power Automate)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, and/or Business Analytics

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits :
$88,000.00 - $132,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
