Central Sterile Technician

The Central Sterile Technician is responsible for the decontamination, packaging, sterilization, and delivery of instruments, materials, and equipment necessary to support surgical services. This role operates under the indirect supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and follows specific guidelines and standards for department operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Package and ensure proper sterilization of materials before use in surgical procedures.
• Document the sterilization processes to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Monitor and maintain the functionality of sterilization equipment.
• Collaborate with surgical services to ensure timely delivery of necessary instruments and supplies.

Qualifications

• Minimally required experience is 2 years in sterile processing or a related field.
• Prior travel experience preferred.
• Ability to work evenings, with no call, holidays, or weekends required.
