EPIC Application Analyst

Job DescriptionThe Epic MyChart Application Analyst is a highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our patients. The Epic MyChart System Analyst supports the functionality of the patient portal under the minimal supervision of a manager or director and according to established policy and procedures. The MyChart Analyst performs complex system analysis, design, integration, testing, implementation, maintenance and planning of assigned applications and/or projects. Directly interacts with assigned department managers and staff to provide automation services in support of the department's strategic and operational objectives. Plans, coordinates, develops and provides appropriate training for managers and users. Ensures development of training materials, production of continuity workbooks, documentation of standard operating procedures and user checklists. Assists in all upgrade/updates, NOVA note build, testing, and demos of new functionality. Serves as the contact and liaison with user community and vendor. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Mount Nittany Health. Participates in department and hospital task forces, focus groups and/or committees as assigned by their supervisor to meet the group objectives. Off-hours work and participation in on-call rotation are required.Minimum RequirementsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.Epic Certifications in one or more Epic applications (required within 180 days of hire)Experience:Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skillsAbility to understand business requirements and their impact on technical solutionsAbility to work in a complex environment to manage multiple concurrent communication needsSkill at tracking tasks, defining next steps, identifying owners, and holding others accountableAbility to coordinate activities and facilitate meetings involving multiple stakeholders, including vendors, subject matter experts, interface engine developers, and end usersEHR Configuration and Build Experience0-2 years of experience in the analysis, design, build, testing, and maintenance of Epic EMR or other EMR applications, with a strong understanding of healthcare workflows related to electronic medical record systems.Entry level.
