The position may be located at the customer's site and will schedule inbound trailers to the docks, reports material on the customer's system.Essential FunctionsSchedule inbound trailers to the dockIn report material on the customer's systemAct as a trouble-shooter for material that cannot be processed through normal channelsHandle the processing of "hot" partsHandle field calls and answer questions regarding material that flows through the cross dockUpdate material flow information in the cross-dock database, monitor non-conformance by suppliers/carriers and record those issues in an Issues DatabaseEnsure that material flows smoothly and efficiently through the cross dock.Ensure that information is shared timely with personnel from the customer and RyderAdditional ResponsibilitiesPerforms other duties as assigned.EducationH.S. diploma/GEDExperienceThree (3) years or more previous experience in the department, requiredThree (3) years or more experience with customer Inventory Systems (Host systems), preferred as neededSkillsAbility to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors). Ability to work effectively with individuals from different areas and backgrounds, both inside and outside the companyStrong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills.
