Job Description
Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Schedule

Day shifts, 10 hours, from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with varying days off based on department needs. Specific days off cannot be guaranteed every week, including Mondays and Fridays.

Assignment Details

Contract length is 8 weeks. On-call requirements include weeknights, weekends, and holidays, approximately 4-6 shifts per month. Floating to PreAn/PACU may be required as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Must hold valid ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement.
• Experience with patient diagnoses such as pancreatic, lung, colon, and gastric cancers, as well as conditions like polyps, Barrett's esophagus, and CBD stones/strictures.
• Familiarity with special procedures including EUS, ERCP, navigational bronchoscopy, EBUS, manometry, and fibroscan.
• Ability to operate specialized equipment, including ERBE and Olympus scopes/processors.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions before, during, and after procedures.
• Administer medications and manage IV lines as required.
• Assist with various endoscopic procedures and ensure patient safety.
• Document patient information and report any concerns to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care outcomes.
