Description

• Conduct evaluations of patients in inpatient or outpatient environments and devise tailored treatment plans
• Implement physical therapy interventions emphasizing mobility, strength, balance, and functionality
• Work in tandem with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to improve patient outcomes
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic objectives, planning for discharge, and home exercise regimens
• Maintain documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
• Engage in care team meetings and interdisciplinary discussions to facilitate coordinated care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification preferred
• Specialized certifications (neurological, geriatric, etc.) are advantageous but not mandatory

Skills

• Significant prior experience is strongly preferred
• Adeptness in treating patients with intricate medical and mobility challenges
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Familiarity with digital charting and healthcare documentation software
