AEITS Inc., a GTSC company, seeks System Administrators (Level I, II, or III).Location: Hanover, MDAll work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.~~~~~ These positions pending contract award ~~~Mission:AEITS seeking System Administrators at multiple experience levels (Level I-III) to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure. Candidates will be responsible for managing system operations, supporting users, and ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of enterprise environments. Level placement will be determined based on experience, technical expertise, and demonstrated capabilities.Clearance: Active Top Secret SCI with polygraph.Requirements:Experience supporting IT systems in enterprise environments (level dependent):Level I: ~5 years or equivalent experience/trainingLevel II: ~10 yearsLevel III: ~15 yearsRequires bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience)Experience with Windows and/or UNIX/Linux system administrationFamiliarity with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuningStrong problem-solving and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with tools such as VMware, ELK Stack, Tripwire, or SELinuxExperience with virtualization, containers, and system security practicesKnowledge of infrastructure automation or scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)Experience in secure or regulated environmentsWork Environment:May require participation in on-call rotation or shift workWork performed in a team-oriented, mission-focused environmentAdditional Information:Level will be determined based on candidate qualifications and experienceSalary and responsibilities will align with the selected levelKey Responsibilities (All Levels):Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systemsManage daily operations of systems including servers, storage, and network devicesMonitor system performance and ensure availability and reliabilityPerform system configuration, patching, and upgrades for Windows and/or UNIX/Linux environmentsTroubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues and provide timely resolutionSupport users in accessing and utilizing IT systemsDocument system configurations, processes, and issue resolutionsSupport escalation processes and communicate status to stakeholdersMaintain system security and compliance with organizational standardsAdditional Responsibilities by Level:Level I (Entry/Intermediate):Provide Tier 1 and basic Tier 2 support for incident resolutionPerform routine system maintenance and monitoringFollow established procedures and escalate complex issuesLevel II (Mid-Level):Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysisHandle escalated incidents and provide detailed technical feedbackOptimize system performance and resource utilizationSupport capacity planning and system improvementsLevel III (Senior):Analyze and resolve complex, multi-system issuesSupport system design, architecture, and integration effortsProvide technical leadership and guidance to junior staffEvaluate and implement system enhancements to improve reliability and performanceUnderstand and manage system interdependencies across enterprise environmentsBENEFITS - Full-time EmployeesWe believe great work starts with supporting our people.
