Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Southern Ohio Veteran's Home, Georgetown, OH. Full-time & part-time positions available. The LPN works between Registered Nurses and Therapeutic Program Workers. Qualifications License to practice nursing as an LPN issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing under Section 4723 Ohio Revised Code Proof of completion of an approved course in medication administration No experience required Key Responsibilities Complete physician orders: assist with exams, treatments, specimen collection; administer medication including controlled substances Observe and document residents’ condition in Point-Click-Care system and report to medical team Create progress notes, care plans, monthly summaries Provide general nursing and direct care, including assistance with activities of daily living, vital signs, ambulation, range of motion Escort and support residents at medical appointments or recreational activities as needed Redirect unsafe actions to promote positive outcomes Apply safety and infection control measures Assist Therapeutic Program Workers (e.g., STNA) as assigned Attend team meetings, trainings, and other assigned duties Next Steps Apply through Careers.Ohio.gov Contact Stephanie Stacy for questions Equal Opportunity Employer Statement The Ohio Department of Veterans Services is an equal opportunity employer and provides reasonable accommodations in accordance with the ADA.
