Job Title Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Healing Care at Ohio Veterans Home Organization Office of Ohio Department of Veterans Services (ODVS) Work Location Southern Ohio Veteran's Home, 2003 Veterans Boulevard, Georgetown, OH 45121 Schedule & Compensation Full‑ or Part‑Time; 7am–7:30pm & 7pm–7:30am; Starting Hourly – Step 3: $29.22 per hour ($60,778 annually). 1st Raise after 1 year: $30.55 per hour ($63,544 annually). 2nd & 3rd shift differential pay. Tuition Reimbursement up to $5,000 annually Potential up to $4,000 in referral bonuses Medical coverage begins the 1st of the month following start date Free dental & vision after 1 year Vacation, sick, holiday, personal leave, and retirement/pension options Key Responsibilities Completion of physician orders: assist with physical exams, treatments and specimen collection; administer medication including controlled substances. Observe and document residents' condition in Point‑Click‑Care system, report to medical team. Create other necessary reports (e.g., progress notes, care plans, monthly summaries). Provide general nursing and direct care, including assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, ambulation and range of motion. Escort and support residents at medical appointments or recreational activities. Redirect unsafe actions to promote positive outcomes. Apply safety and infection control measures. Assist Therapeutic Program Workers (STNA) as assigned. Attend team meetings, trainings and other duties as assigned. Qualifications License to practice nursing as a licensed practical nurse issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing pursuant to Section 4723 Ohio Revised Code. Proof of completion of an approved course in medication administration. No experience required; however, nurses administering dialysis must possess IV Therapy certification.
