Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for providing a high level of customer service and promoting a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for our guests and team members.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining all electrical systems on the property.
• This includes circuits, circuit protection devices, lights, outlets, motors, etc.
• Has a working knowledge of transformers, generators, and switchgear.
• Responsible for the installation of new circuits/equipment.
• Initiates requisitions for materials and supplies; prepares reports and maintains records of repairs.
• Responsible for all repairs to existing circuits/equipment.
• Works with electrical contractors to ensure proper completion of all major electrical projects.
• Maintains knowledge of current electrical codes, rules, regulations, and requirements.
• Prepares and maintains accurate records, files, and reports.
• Knows and understands company and departmental organizational structure, and adheres to all policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of full-time, wage-earning experience as an Electrician in maintenance, construction, or an industrial environment required.
• Electrician License.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program may substitute for two years of the required experience.
• Must understand and speak the English language.
• Must have knowledge of installation and maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Ability to operate equipment and machinery related to the assigned area.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical prints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Ability to coordinate with other staff, departments, officials, agencies, organizations, and the public.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely.
• Equipment (machines, tools, devices) used in performing only the essential functions include computer and related equipment, typewriter, copier, fax machine, voltage meter, amp meter, various electrical tools, telephone, and automobile.
• Must have a valid illinois Driver's License.
• This position is required to drive a company vehicle and adhere to the company MVR policy.
• Must be willing to be on call in case an emergency arises.
• Must be willing to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• The employee frequently is required to stand and walk.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• The employee requires manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance.
• Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs., occasionally.
• Must be able to lift 70+ pounds, have ability to ascend and descend heights on ladders and lifts, and work in a variety of harsh climates.
