Interim Staff/Senior Accountant

Vaco is recruiting for a PART TIME SR Accountant with a non profit background.
This is an interim opportunity to help a non profit organization!



Key Responsibilities:

• Review and validate daily journal entries for accuracy and completeness
• Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet roll-forwards
• Analyze and reconcile accounting activity dating back to July 2025
• Assist in identifying gaps within current accounting and reconciliation processes
• Help design and implement improved reconciliation and month-end close procedures
• Support financial reporting and general ledger integrity
• Collaborate with internal leadership to ensure accurate and timely accounting operations
• Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and clean-up efforts as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit environment
• Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes
• Prior experience with Blackbaud accounting software strongly preferred
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
