About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant Dean for Graduate Medical Education (GME) to play a pivotal role in the expansion and advancement of its GME program. The successful candidate will be a key member of the leadership team, supporting the institution's mission and strategic priorities. This role is focused on fostering an academic environment that promotes excellence in GME across multiple training sites. The Assistant Dean will be responsible for curriculum development, assessment, and learner evaluation in residency and fellowship programs, and must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in GME administration. Professional qualifications include an M.D. or D.O. degree, a Texas medical license or eligibility, and board certification. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GME administration, including accreditation compliance, program oversight, and experience with ACGME accreditation. Applicants for the Assistant Dean position at the company should have a proven track record in GME administration, with a focus on strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, and outcomes assessment. Experience in GME financing, budgeting, and Medicare GME funding is also preferred. The role requires a strong commitment to faculty development, mentoring, and trainee advocacy, as well as a history of scholarly contributions in medical education. The candidate should be a practicing clinician in an academic medical center and have a strong regional or national reputation in the field. The Assistant Dean will be instrumental in positioning the institution to meet the workforce needs of the state and region, and must be dedicated to the health and prosperity of the communities it serves.
