Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum 2 Years Required License: Valid CA License Required Certifications: - ACLS - BLS (American Heart Association) - PALS Must-Have: - Circulating experience required - Meditech documentation experience required Description: Seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse with 2 years of experience for day shift, 3x12s from 06:30 to 19:00. Scrubs will be provided. The position involves managing all surgical cases except transplants and open heart surgeries, with a high volume of orthopedic cases, particularly total joints. The facility has support from Intensivists, Nurse Practitioners, Clientists, and Anesthesiologists on-site 24/7. Additional provider support includes interpretation services, lift teams, pharmacy, phlebotomy, physical therapy, radiology, rapid response teams, respiratory services, social services, transportation, and unit secretaries. The medication system used is Omnicell. SBAR communication is utilized within the unit. On-call duty is required every third weekend. Candidates must have previous experience with scrub and circulating roles. No first-time travelers are accepted. Candidates living within 50 miles are not eligible. A strong preference is given to candidates with scrub experience. Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-volume surgical environment that includes robotics. The daily patient census is approximately 25, with 12 surgical rooms available. The unit supports a diverse range of surgical cases, primarily orthopedic in nature.
