Job Description: #LI-jobpost Ro Health is looking for a dedicated Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team at a California State Prison! This position plays a vital role in assessing and managing the nutritional needs of incarcerated individuals, ensuring compliance with state regulations and CDCR guidelines while promoting overall health and well-being. Details:
- Location: Stockton, CA
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
- Higher Pay for Travelers: Additional compensation for those commuting 50+ miles from the facility
- Employment Type: Contract
- Active Registered Dietitian (RD) license in the state of California
- At least 1 year of experience as a Dietitian
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to pass a strict background check
- Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, meal planning, and dietary modifications
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Assess the nutritional needs of incarcerated individuals based on medical conditions, dietary restrictions, and facility guidelines
- Develop and implement individualized meal plans and therapeutic diets in compliance with CDCR regulations
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition interventions, making adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to manage patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity
- Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients, staff, and facility administrators
- Ensure compliance with state and federal dietary regulations, including food safety standards
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with CDCR policies
- Participate in multidisciplinary healthcare meetings to enhance patient care outcomes
