In this role, under the supervision of a Nursing Clinical Coordinator or Department Director, you will:

• Take responsibility for essential clinical knowledge to enhance patient outcomes within the nursing practice scope, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment and proficient nursing skills while adhering to established policies, particularly those concerning confidentiality (written, verbal, electronic, and digital).
• Document care effectively, concisely, and promptly in accordance with organizational guidelines.
• Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks for optimal efficiency and productivity.
• Follow the LGHP protocol for medication dispensing and narcotic control, applying clinical judgment in medication administration.
• Delegate tasks only to those team members who possess the necessary knowledge and skills, considering their training, cultural competence, experience, and facility policies.
• Professionally address or seek assistance for clinical issues and conflicts.
• Complete annual educational requirements and other designated learning activities punctually.
• Foster a culture of safety within the healthcare environment.
• Advocate for patients while adhering to quality standards, including National Patient Safety standards and infection prevention protocols.
• Provide appropriate education to patients and families starting from admission and continuing throughout their stay, ensuring clear instructions for discharge and follow-up care.
• Enhance the role of the professional nurse through continuous learning.
• Contribute to the healthcare environment with a Systems Thinking approach.
• Comply with hospital and unit policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 months of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training must be completed within 60 days of starting employment.
• Must be a Registered Nurse.
• Possess an Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in nursing.
