Days Team Lead Nurse (Full-Time)

The Inpatient Unit Supervisor is responsible for ensuring care and staff related outcomes are met in their area of responsibility. Ensures compliance with internal and external policies, regulations, and accreditations for area of supervision. Weekend unit supervisor is responsible for the supervision of both inpatient units. Schedule: Monday - Friday What You’ll Do Ensure the development, revision, and implementation of each child’s care plan and achieve the goals established by the care team, child, and family. Ensure clinical care is implemented according to best practices as defined by ChildServe policy and practice manuals. Implement and monitor unit‑specific quality improvement activities and initiatives. Ensure adequate availability of qualified staff and consistently evaluate individual performance. Effectively manage and resolve stakeholder concerns. Maintain effective communication that establishes positive relationships and provide on‑call backup support to the medical group homes. Lead the team through effective hiring, training, coaching, and performance management. Promote staff development, engagement, and retention, and collaborate with management to identify improvement opportunities. What You’ll Need Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and licensed to practice as an LPN or RN in Iowa, BSN preferred. Minimum five years of nursing experience in pediatrics, rehabilitation, or with children with complex medical conditions; specialty nursing certifications preferred (CPN, CBIS, CRRN). Current CPR/BLS certification. Computer skills including Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software programs. Capacity to work independently with basic verbal and written guidance. Ability to maintain positive working relationships and respect diversity. Strong organizational and time‑management skills with problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. Capacity to work effectively, accurately, and efficiently under multiple demands and frequent interruptions. Proficient communication in reading, writing, and speaking English. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and be mobile within the assigned work area, frequently bending, lifting, reaching, and standing. Position subject to COVID-19 safety requirements.
