Project Manager

Project ManagerSimply Automated is looking for an addition to our team that will bridge the gap between our on-site installation, sales, and leadership team. Our preferred candidate will coordinate all aspects of our project implementation and assist with other variables in our daily installation efforts.We are a regional leader in all things home technology, innovating the smartest way forward by integrating audio, video, lighting control, networking, life safety/home security, motorized window treatments and more, working seamlessly together under one home automation platform.Key Job Responsibilities:Evaluate workload and schedule installation work to best utilize effective manpower and maximize efficiencyMaintain our rigorous quality assurance standards in all work we performBalance demands of multiple projects happening simultaneously over the stretch of weeks, months or yearsUnderstand and interpret in-house CAD drawings, proposals, scope of work, and other various pieces of the Simply Automated Design-Build Process, while being attentive to additional details necessary to eliminate installation inefficienciesAnticipate and coordinate upcoming project phases and related tasksWork with procurement to ensure equipment is ordered accurately & staged for installationWork with our lead technicians to ensure key project pieces are successfully programmed and ready-to-installCoordinate with builders and additional subcontractors on job siteMaintain our profitability targets while delivering our world-class value proposition to our clientsAssist on-site during the project, including but not limited to pre-wire, trim out & finish stages of installationsHelp maintain best-practice installation methods, quality workmanship and technician safety while on-siteEffectively and diligently manage and develop our skilled installation team — including scheduling, task prioritization, and directing work assignments to ensure effective project executionOversee job performance of our techniciansEnsure policies and procedures are followed and collaborate with our leadership team on developing efficient workflow process and optimizationPreferred Job Requirements:Degree in construction management or similar, preferred.2+ years experience in the A/V or Home Automation industry with experience in leading large-scale, high-end projects preferred2+ years in project management (General Construction, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing trades)Experience in the construction industry and on-site project management experienceA working knowledge of major home automation & A/V systems — preferably Control4, Josh.ai, Alarm.com, Savant or similarGeneral experience with technology — PC/MacOS, Enterprise-Grade Networking, Home Theater, and other various A/V technologiesExceptional big-picture planning, efficiently delegate and execute tasks while maintaining deadlines to ensure a timely delivery.Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively and confidently manage a teamDemonstrate an ambition to exceed expectations with our clients and trade partners at all timesExcellent communication skills — both written and verbal — emphasizing transparency, authenticity and respectfulness in every interaction both internally and externallySolution-centric, organized, attention-to-detail with excellent follow-throughResourceful and willing to work patiently through challenging situationsDemonstration of self-discipline, motivation, with a consistent passion for excellence and initiativeAbility to work independently and in a team environmentCompensation and Benefits:Salary contingent on experienceSimple IRA Retirement Plan with company matched contributionsMedical, Dental & Vision InsurancePTOPaid HolidaysTake Home Company VehicleComprehensive Training ProgramsPosition Requirements:Full-Time PositionValid Drivers License with clean driving record with no major violations in the last 5 yearsMust pass a pre-employment background checkService areas include but are not limited to: multiple job sites in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and surrounding regionsOut-of-State Travel occasionally required for industry trade shows and existing clients who have homes outside of the Pittsburgh, PA areaProficient in using and/or learning applications such as Slack, Monday(.com), Office/iWork Suite and the likeFeel free to submit a resume if you are seeking a personally fulfilling career with Pittsburgh's most innovative and fastest growing home automation company that is dedicated to the success of its team and valued clients.
