Position: Field Forecaster Department: Raw Product Summary: Raw Product is the harvest and procurement of raw agricultural products. Field Forecaster gives support by monitoring specific blocks and calculating the optimal harvest time for the blocks.Job Function Statements - Essential Functions:Ability to work outdoors through all seasons and weather types including wind and rain, indoors under refrigerated conditions to 32F, wet, muddy, dusty, and noisy conditions.Posses' ability to drive up to 600–800 miles per day.Ability to walk on uneven surfaces throughout fields required.Ability to climb trailers to evaluate quality of the harvest job.Ability to lift 40-50lbs produce boxes when weighing and inspecting. Ability to verbally greet grower & suppliers and communicate business related information.Ability to identify potential pests & diseases of all lettuce.Ability to keep consistent & accurate records. Ability to process all documents in both paper and electronic formats in a "real-time" environment.Ability to communicate with harvesters and convey where to stage equipment for the harvest and what area of the field they will be harvesting. Ability to work in a fast paced, often-stressful environment.Ability to work, day, swing, or night shifts within a 7-day work week schedule.Full-time positions are expected to travel throughout the year with the company's operations in California and Arizona.Bilingual and literacy in English is required.Ability to monitor direct and indirect operations costs and compare them to budgets.Lead or Supervisory Responsibility:Meet all job description requirements for each of the positions that are direct reports.You must follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to lead employees assigned as direct reports.
