RNs are able to practice at their full scope of practice, and have the opportunity to engage in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs and services with the goal of improving patient outcomes, and execute an optimal plan of care in a shared governance environment.Roles and Responsibilities:Assesses patients and families using a person-centered approach to quickly recognize deviations and abnormalities in physical, emotional, developmental and behavioral status. Plans and evaluates the care of patients, demonstrating the ability to effectively prioritize care goals for both expected and unanticipated needs while involving the patients and support persons.Demonstrates competence in the implementation of the technical skills required for the care of patients and families, and clinical documentation compliance remaining up to date on policies, procedures and standards.Considers the interdisciplinary team as resources for interventions on care goals including evidence based practice.
