VP of Procurement

Location: Rice, MN | Schedule: Full-time, on-site | Compensation: $110,000 to $135,000 Overview A company that plays an essential role in America's food distribution system is seeking a VP of Procurement to lead its purchasing function. This role oversees vendor negotiations, staff leadership, and inventory strategy to support corporate profitability and service goals within a safe, inclusive, and rewards-driven work environment. What you'll do Manage all aspects of product procurement, including program negotiation with manufacturers Hire, train, coach, and counsel staff members, and handle performance management and problem resolution Achieve corporate goals established by senior management Ensure corporate profitability related to vendor bill-back and inbound freight programs Develop and execute annual marketing programs Manage inventory levels to enhance the company's financial position and negotiate with vendors for the best price and program Dispose of proprietary inventory from lost customers Manage inventory dollar levels to optimize cash flow and service level Interact with customers and vendors to ensure timely, accurate responses to inquiries Maintain fill-rate service levels in line with company standards Establish procedures to increase purchasing department efficiency and productivity Improve purchasing strategies and processes based on knowledge of the food distribution industry Maintain a thorough understanding of and continued development in the foodservice industry May be responsible for managing the marketing/merchandising function Function as a team member within the department and organization, performing other duties as assigned Required qualifications Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience 6-7+ years in procurement or a related area with supervisory experience Preferred qualifications Bachelor's degree 10+ years in procurement with supervisory/management experience in the foodservice industry Compensation and benefits Compensation range: $110,000 to $135,000 Day 1 Health & Wellness Benefits Employee Stock Purchase Plan 401K Employer Matching Education Assistance Paid Time Off Why this role This position offers growth opportunities performing essential work supporting America's food distribution system, within a safe and inclusive environment built on a culture of rewards, recognition, and respect. #J-18808-Ljbffr
