Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Urgent Hire

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Compensation: $44–$55/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week
Schedule Flexibility: Weekdays and weekends; flexible scheduling available

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Pittsfield, Massachusetts . This is a critical-need full-time position at a skilled nursing facility (SNF), offering an excellent opportunity for an SLP who wants to make a meaningful impact while becoming part of a collaborative care team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and functional goals

• Provide skilled speech-language therapy using evidence-based practices

• Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate

• Evaluate and treat communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, dietary, and other interdisciplinary team members

• Participate in care planning and communicate patient progress effectively

• Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment strategies and recommendations

• Promote safety, independence, communication, and quality of life

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

• Current Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure

• ASHA certification or eligibility preferred

• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills

• Compassionate, patient-focused approach

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team

• Flexibility with scheduling based on facility and patient-care needs
