Job Description

Infrastructure Design Group, Inc. is a civil engineering and land surveying services firm providing professional services to public and private clients throughout eastern South Dakota, southwest Minnesota, and northwest Iowa. We provide professional engineering, surveying, and consulting services to local municipalities, county and state DOT’s, and other state departments, as well as private sector clients. We are currently seeking applicants for a Staff Engineer to be located in either our Sioux Falls, Mitchell or Watertown, SD office.

Primary duties of the Staff Engineer include working with engineers, surveyors, and technicians to complete engineering analysis, studies, designs, drawings, layouts, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided drafting software. Work may also entail field investigations, inspections, and surveying. We are interested in a motivated individual capable of taking on multiple responsibilities as a team player.

Qualifications

Staff Engineer position requires a BS degree in Civil Engineering with 0-4 years of engineering related experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required. Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or Microstation/InRoads is preferred. Also requires a good working knowledge of construction documents and technical knowledge.

The ideal candidate shall be self-motivated, organized, able to communicate effectively both written and orally, able to work in a team environment, and have strong interpersonal skills.
