Whether enhancing existing transportation networks or pioneering new mobility solutions, DEA's knowledge helps shape a future where safe, efficient, convenient, and accessible mobility leads the way for sustainable growth and improved quality of life in our communities.The Bridges and Structures Practice is seeking a CAD Technician in Denver, CO.We're looking for a skilled CAD Technician who thrives in a collaborative environment and is excited to contribute to the design and construction of vital transportation structures: bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, and more. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, using cutting-edge tools and software to turn concepts into reality.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce detailed CAD drawings, layouts, and graphics for a variety of transportation structures including reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, and steel designs.Translate engineering markups into polished construction documents, maintaining precision and consistency.Use state-of-the-art software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and OpenRoads Designer.Support design tasks under the direction of licensed engineers using industry standards such as AASHTO.Maintain structured drawing files, adhere to company drafting standards, and support project-specific standards as needed.Collaborate through file-sharing systems like ProjectWise and participate in quality assurance reviews.Track quantities, update contract drawings, and contribute to project success within scope, budget, and schedule.Required Qualifications2+ years of drafting experience with a focus on bridge or structural engineering projects.Associate of Applied Science in Civil Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field.Proficiency in MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.Preferred QualificationsExperience with transportation projects and/or Department of Transportation (CODOT, UDOT, ODOT, WSDOT, ITD)Strong communication skills and a passion for precision.We foster an environment where talented professionals have the freedom and support to do their most meaningful work.
