About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Facilities, Planning, and Capital Construction. This executive leadership role is pivotal in providing a strategic vision and operational oversight for the planning, construction, maintenance, safety, and service delivery of campus facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a large and complex organization, managing a significant operating budget, and ensuring the integrity and safety of the university's facilities. Key responsibilities include establishing and directing long-range strategic goals, representing the campus in various external interactions, and overseeing a substantial capital program. The role demands a commitment to safe, sustainable, and service-oriented facilities operations, as well as the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. Candidates for this position should have at least 7 years' of leadership experience in construction and facilities management, with a minimum of 3 years' at an executive level in a large and complex organization. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for a related graduate degree. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in capital project management, strong communication, strategic thinking, and the ability to foster collaboration and teamwork. Experience in a collective bargaining and shared governance environment is highly desirable. The role also requires a commitment to upholding university policies and standards related to safety, civility, and non-discrimination, and the ability to balance the needs of various campus constituents while maintaining a consistent and aesthetically pleasing campus environment.
