Design and develop new products, from 3D modeling to drawing creation and production implementation, based on customer feedback and sales requirements. The Design Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects.What You’ll DoDesign and develop new products, from 3D modeling to drawing creation and production implementationSupport design for manufacturability and collaborate with production teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing.Conduct engineering simulations and basic analysis to validate product performance.Apply sound engineering knowledge with aesthetics to design products which look as good as they functionProvide directions to factory and suppliers on production processes and facilitate product problem resolution when necessaryPartner with the plant development team to meet project timing and cost targetsWork with production teams to review drawings, documents, and CAD models for development projectsMeet as required with Sales, Marketing, Production, Quality and other departments to communicate project status and solicit feedbackEnsure completeness of production qualification, including testing and manufacturing capability verificationCarry out physical testing of parts, both in the field and in the test labDesign and carry out design changes and modifications to new and existing parts, jigs, fixtures and tools as requiredWork with manufacturing team on vendor sourcing, selecting, and contract negotiationsCarry out design for manufacturability of parts and componentsSuccessfully manage 10 – 15 projects simultaneouslyWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.5+ years of experience in product development and detailed part/system design.Experience in automotive, power sports, consumer products or related industry preferred.Advanced CAD skills and modeling experienceAbility to take a product from concept to detailed design and into productionKnowledge of a variety of engineering tools such as FEA, FMEA, and Lean practicesKnowledge of a variety of materials and manufacturing processesKnowledge of product developmentWhy Join Nortek DCC• Play an important role on a growing team• Gain hands‑on experience across multiple marketing disciplines• Contribute to a company helping power the next generation of AI‑ready data centers• Work in an environment with meaningful growth opportunitiesSummaryLocation: Oklahoma City, OKType: Full time
