Project 2029 is looking for a passionate volunteer leader to help build and sustain the financial resources necessary to advance our mission and expand our impact.

About the Role
As Chief Development Officer, you will:
- Lead the development and implementation of fundraising strategies that support Project 2029’s growth and sustainability.
- Cultivate relationships with donors, foundations, sponsors, and strategic partners to expand financial support and community engagement.
- Oversee fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, grant development, and development communications.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish fundraising goals, revenue targets, and long-term development priorities.
- Build and support a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization.

We focus on developing actionable policies that foster a flourishing, transparent, and accountable government. We aim to identify and empower new leaders at both the state and federal levels who are committed to integrity, justice, and real change. Our work is centered on rewriting the rules of governance to build a movement for democracy that honors justice and serves future generations.

We are looking for candidates who are excited about progressive politics and are dedicated to the idea that we can change what is happening in our country.
Ideal candidates will be strategic thinkers, strong communicators, and collaborative leaders with experience in fundraising, donor engagement, grant development, sponsorships, or nonprofit development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, donor relations, or grant writing
- Proven ability to cultivate and steward donor and partner relationships
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience developing fundraising campaigns or revenue-generation strategies
- Flexible time commitment based on organizational needs
