Dental Hygienist Assistant

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Dental Hygienist Assistant to work at a facility in Detroit, MI. Pay Rate: $29 / hour

Duties: Job Summary: As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization.
• Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress.
• Update patient health history and chart treatment progress.
• Expose and develop radiographs (if certified).
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
• Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems.
• Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with the industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA.

Skills: Required Skills & Experience:

• Candidates must have at least Six Months of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant Or Dental Hygiene Assistant Or in a Dental Assistant Internship to be considered.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or GED.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• BLS certification.
• Six (6) hour X-ray training certification.
