The firm works with owner-led businesses, private equity firms, and M&A advisors to identify operational risks and dependencies that may impact value during and after a transaction. Its approach combines advisory expertise with modern technology and AI-driven insights to provide evidence-based recommendations rather than opinions. The company is building a differentiated position within the middle-market transaction and diligence ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and prioritize target lists across private equity firms, independent sponsors, M&A advisors, Quality of Earnings (QoE) firms, wealth advisors, and exit planners, with an initial focus on Florida.
• Develop relationships and convert referral-channel activity into qualified first meetings, prioritizing warm introductions and established networks.
• Qualify prospects against defined Seller, Buyer, and Owner engagement lanes and quickly disqualify opportunities that are not a strong fit.
• Prepare thorough handoffs for the President, including deal stage, potential dependency or risk signals, referral source, and prospect priorities.
• Develop and recommend new outreach strategies, channels, and relationship-building opportunities.
• Maintain accurate and actionable CRM data to support pipeline visibility and business decisions.
• Gather and communicate market intelligence, including common diligence challenges, key-person risk, and questions raised by deal teams.
• Manage the top of the sales pipeline independently while providing regular updates and insights to leadership.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Proven background in business development, deal origination, or sales development within a deal-adjacent business.
• Direct exposure to private equity, M&A, investment banking, or value creation environments.
• Strong understanding of deal terminology, including EBITDA durability, Quality of Earnings (QoE), hold periods, multiple defense, and diligence workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with sophisticated buyers and decision-makers.
• Strong understanding of emerging AI capabilities and the ability to discuss how AI is changing business operations and value creation.
• Experience using AI-augmented tools for research, preparation, outreach, and follow-up.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and operate effectively with limited supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

• An established network within private equity, M&A, deal-professional, or exit-planning communities.
• Experience working for a diligence provider, advisory firm, PE-facing services company, or technology company selling to sophisticated buyers.
• Exposure to exit planning, operating partner initiatives, or AI-driven operating model transformation.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: starting at $85,000
• On-Target Earnings (OTE) / Bonus Structure: $140,000-$170,000
