Description Summary The Customer Specialist is responsible for a broad spectrum of customer service functions to fulfill customer needs and assure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Assure the accurate and timely processing of customer transactions (orders, RMA’s, quotes, catalogues/sample requests and returns) to assure customer satisfaction. Gather customer information and identify products that meet customer needs; recommend potential products or services to management; generate sales leads. Provide technical customer service; educate customers on product features and benefits. Set-up and maintain customer files; maintain records of all sales activities. Resolve product or service problems; clarify complaints, determine cause and identify solution, expedite correction and follow-up to ensure resolution. Process product recalls. Sell products and services. Maximize promotions. Establish and maintain effective customer relations. Provide support to outside sales representatives. Serve as a member of the Customer Service team, providing assistance and support as required. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in a customer service, customer focused role required Requirements Demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and problem-solving skills Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products, Customer Master software Experience with a Full-scale ERP system, (SAP preferred) Ability to prioritize and multitask. Proactive attitude towards work, teamwork, and cooperation This position requires some travel within the designated territory, offering a dynamic and challenging opportunity for a motivated sales professional keen on making a significant impact in the industry.
