Commercial Loan Officer

Our client, a community‑focused financial institution, is hiring a Commercial Loan Officer. In this role you’ll play a key part in expanding their commercial lending presence throughout Middlesex County. This relationship‑driven position is responsible for developing new business opportunities, growing a diverse portfolio of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loans, and building long‑term client relationships that drive both lending and deposit growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated lender with a strong local network and a passion for helping businesses succeed while contributing to the growth of a dynamic organization. Key Responsibilities: Prospect and develop new commercial banking relationships to grow loan and deposit portfolios. Manage the full loan lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and gathering financial information to presenting credit requests and coordinating loan closings. Partner with underwriters, credit teams, attorneys, and clients to ensure a smooth and efficient lending process. Maintain a strong understanding of credit risk, underwriting fundamentals, bank policies, and regulatory requirements. Consistently achieve or exceed annual lending and portfolio growth goals. Qualifications: 5+ years of commercial lending experience, including both C&I and CRE lending. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred. Proven success in loan origination, portfolio management, and business development. Strong credit analysis and underwriting knowledge.
