Cave Creek Unified School District 93 Community Education - Preschool - Scottsdale, Arizona Starting Date: Jul 28, 2026 Job Description Supports district schools and principals in fostering an optimal educational environment for students by providing assistance to teachers and performing duties assigned by the classroom teacher. Responsibilities Assist the teacher in maintaining the physical environment of the classroom and playground. Maintain an interpersonal environment that provides warmth and affection to all children equally, fosters self-esteem, respect for others, and independence, and accommodates individual differences and abilities. Assist in caring out daily activities. Establish good communication and relationships with parents. Participate in self and school evaluations. Help supervise children during play activities, meeting their needs for attention, guidance, and safety. When last staff member on duty, ensure the center is clean, materials are put away, and rooms are locked. When last staff member on duty, stay with any child not picked up on time and contact parents or emergency pick‑up persons. Report to Preschool Teacher / Coordinator. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Physical Demands The employee is required to have regular and reliable attendance, sit, talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, and/or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 15 pounds. Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment The work environment characteristics are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level is usually moderate. Supervision Received from: Preschool Teacher / Coordinator. Given to: Students. Evaluation At least once annually by the Director of ECS in accordance with the policy of the Governing Board.
