Job Duties

• Manage all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, pretrial motions, and trial preparation under the supervision of senior attorneys
• Represent clients in court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution forums
• Draft motions, briefs, discovery responses, and settlement agreements related to insurance claims and defenses
• Attend and defend depositions, hearings, and mediations
• Analyze case files and insurance policies to develop effective legal strategies
• Communicate regularly with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel to report case status and negotiate potential resolutions
• Conduct legal research to support case positions and ensure compliance with state and federal laws
• Maintain accurate and timely case records consistent with firm and client requirements

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted and in good standing with the State Bar
• 1-3 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on insurance defense, general liability, or civil litigation preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient legal research, analysis, and drafting skills
• Organized and detail oriented; adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, ethical legal representation to clients
• Experience with case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite required
