Job Title: Project Engineer Job Description

Under the guidance of the Project Engineering Manager, the Project Engineer II will oversee projects from design through to production approval. This includes handling tooling, fixtures, gauging, production routings, schedules, dimensional approval, costs, profitability, and maintaining customer correspondence.

• Comply with all safety, health, and quality standards, as well as housekeeping practices.
• Prioritize customer satisfaction, timeliness, and quality in project execution.
• Develop and facilitate intermediate part number projects, including significant part redesign and complex mold setups.
• Manage projects in advanced markets such as automotive, aerospace, defense, and medical.
• Support intermediate quality responsibilities by creating customer quality documentation and resolving gaps.
• Independently improve manufacturing methods through sampling and feedback.
• Contribute to operational reviews with plant management and the executive team.
• Participate in company advancement projects.
• Apply investment casting knowledge to improve operational performance.
• Determine process steps, tooling, gauging, materials, and supplies for efficient manufacturing.
• Manage projects to meet or exceed customer expectations for timing and quality.
• Use technical expertise to influence process knowledge and manufacturing teams.
• Be an active team member during line down situations.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical engineering field and 3+ years of project engineering/management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in project engineering within metal casting, foundry, or investment casting environments.
• Effective communication skills for internal and external interactions.
• Ability to read and interpret complex documents such as blueprints and specifications.
• Proficiency in basic mathematical concepts and statistical understanding.
• Problem-solving abilities with a range of variables and limited standardization.

• Experience with CAD is preferred.
• Experience with titanium investment casting is a plus.
• Knowledge of tooling, material characteristics, and general manufacturing practices.
• Familiarity with ISO/IATF/AS quality system requirements.
• Understanding of 3D solid modeling (SolidCast) and NX (UniGraphics).
• Knowledge of GD&T principles and continuous flow manufacturing.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

The role is based in an office environment with a standard Monday to Friday, 40-hour workweek. The position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and focus adjustment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hutchins, TX.

The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $63.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Hutchins,TX.
