You will have opportunities to contribute to process evaluations, treatment technology selection, optimization studies, troubleshooting initiatives, and facility improvements for wastewater treatment systems.This role offers a clear pathway for continued technical and professional growth, with opportunities to expand responsibilities in project delivery, client engagement, process engineering, and leadership within Arcadis’ growing wastewater practice.Role Accountabilities:As a Project Wastewater Engineer, you will play a key role in leading technical project execution, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and delivering complex wastewater treatment solutions for municipal and industrial clients. You will apply your technical expertise and project leadership skills to support projects from planning and design through construction and startup while ensuring quality, budget, and schedule objectives are achieved. You will also:Lead technical design tasks and coordinate deliverables across multiple engineering disciplines. Support project planning activities, including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination. Prepare and oversee engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and design documents to support the successful delivery of wastewater treatment projects.Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers. Participate in client meetings, technical workshops, and proposal development activities. Support client relationship management, proposal preparation, technical presentations, and business development activities while identifying opportunities for continued growth within existing and prospective client accounts.In this role, you will have the opportunity to expand your technical expertise, develop client relationships, and build a deeper understanding of water and wastewater systems, industry best practices, and emerging technologies. Travel (up to 25%) may be required to support client meetings, project workshops, site assessments, facility evaluations, field investigations, and construction-phase services.Key Skills & Experience:To be successful in this role, you will bring strong experience in wastewater treatment processes, technologies, and system design, with expertise supporting municipal and/or industrial treatment facilities. You will have a demonstrated ability to deliver technically complex projects while balancing client expectations, project schedules, budgets, and quality objectives.You are a proactive and collaborative professional with strong project leadership capabilities, including prioritizing tasks, managing client expectations, and mentoring junior staff. Your experience includes project management and design delivery, capital and operations and maintenance (O&M) cost estimating, project scheduling, work planning, and technical documentation.
