Overview ADVENTHEALTH MEDICAL GROUP RADIATION ONCOLOGY AT CENTRAL FLORIDA Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) Full Time Opportunity at AdventHealth Winter Park General Summary The APRN or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for: Performing physical examinations and evaluation and treatment of radiation oncology patients in the outpatient and inpatient settings Assisting with the survivorship clinic and collaborating with surgical oncology Ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory work, X-ray, etc. Monitoring the patient\'s course of treatment and making appropriate referrals to physicians or specialists as needed Collaborating with physician supervisor and staff to provide consistent patient care and support to staff Maintaining a caring and professional attitude and pursuing personal and professional growth Conditions managed include cancers of the brain, head and neck, skin, thorax, breast, gastrointestinal system, genitourinary system, gynecologic system, and lymphatic system Knowledge and Skills Required Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public Strong communication skills Strong medical decision-making skills Radiation Oncology experience preferred; however, a strong clinical background with an emphasis on sub-specialty oncology conditions would be beneficial Candidate must pass a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screen Schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Campus: AH Winter Park Required Education/Experience Master\'s degree in APRN or Physician Assistant studies 1–2 years sub-specialty experience in Oncology and/or Radiation Oncology as an APRN or PA Bi-lingual Spanish preferred, not required Licensure, Certification, and Registration Current, valid Florida ARNP or PA license ANCC, AANP (or equivalent) or NCCPA certification is required BLS and ACLS required ONS Certification preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Surgonc
