The maintenance mechanic position conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service. Essential Functions

The maintenance mechanic position conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service. Essential Functions
- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs of production equipment.
- Maintain Preventative Maintenance records
- Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
- Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- MS Word, Excel, Outlook a plus, Basic Computer skills. JOB DUTIES:
- Use computerized system for work orders / timesheets (minimal)
- Order or create requisitions to maintain key parts and supplies to maintain smooth operation of the Plant
- Communicate with vendors and oversee contractors working onsite
- Fabrication, welding and cutting
- Drive Forklift *Forklift Maintenance is a plus
- Some overtime hours as needed.
- Ability to occasionally life and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to frequently walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to occasionally bend, squat and/or stoop.
- Frequently works near or around moving mechanical parts.
- Exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment.
- Exposed to airborne particles.
- Work environment Wood processing, manufacturing operation.
- Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, including variations in temperature and precipitation.
- Must take a pre-employment drug test and a background check to be considered for the position.
