What You’ll Do

• Provide inpatient pediatric care for a 30-bed unit with an average census of 16-18 patients
• Conduct newborn nursery examinations and assessments
• Consult in the Emergency Department for pediatric cases
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including subspecialists and intensivists
• Work alongside a dedicated 16-bed PICU and pediatric intensivists
• Participate in teaching residents and medical students within an academic environment
• Practice in a Level II Trauma Center serving northern Nevada and northeastern California
• Ensure high standards of pediatric care aligned with Pediatrix guidelines
• Engage in ongoing improvement and quality initiatives across the unit

What You Need

Required:

• Board Certified or Eligible in Pediatrics (certification required within a reasonable timeframe)
• Residency training in pediatrics
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively

Preferred:

• Inpatient pediatric experience
• Experience with newborn examinations and pediatric consultations
