Position Summary About ITT and Compact Automation: ITT’s Compact Automation Products offers highly engineered, reliable and innovative solutions with the smallest footprint to force ratio, for a wide variety of industrial markets globally. Since 1974, our team of world‑class engineers have produced standard and custom cylinders for a multitude of unique applications. Our extensive product range is comprised of high‑quality Air Cylinders, Turn‑Act rotary actuators, Grippers, Slides, Guided Cylinders, Air Springs, Electric Actuators, Hydraulic Cylinders and Custom Actuators. We put our customers first with quotes within 24 hours, ongoing distributor support with engineers in the field, and expansive manufacturing capabilities, which include a fully automated anodizing line that allows our team to produce both standard and custom cylinders along with engineered solutions quickly. Our department managers/supervisors play a critical role in creating and maintaining a safe workplace for our employees by following all ITT safety policies and procedures and by observing employees to ensure that safety procedures are followed. Essential Responsibilities Operates and Programs a variety of machine tools and equipment, such as manual lathes, mills, drill presses, cut off saws and CNC multi‑axis turning and milling equipment. Performs set up to operation to produce a variety of production parts and tools from metal, composites and other materials. Inspects all work using precision measuring tools to ensure all parts meet drawing specifications. Makes adjustments and offsets to machines to control speed, material feed, and path of cut. Makes sure machines are set up properly, working well and producing quality product. Performs work under general to minimal supervision depending on skill level/experience. Enters accurate daily labor information into data collection system. Quality conscientious and responsible for all aspects of quality related to work produced. Knowledge and general understanding of ISO 9001 quality policies. Adheres to all safety directives/requirements within the area and facility (i.e. Personal Protective Equipment) and fully participates in all 6S activities and daily clean‑up. Other duties as directed by Management. Position Requirements High School diploma or GED Machining experience running Lathes, manual and CNC (Mills experience a plus) Able to blank screen program Lathes and Mills Able to work in a team environment Able to work any shift Ability to interpret blueprints and their symbols. Knowledge of micrometers (manual and digital). Read comparators such as radii, angular, and size. Able to operate a personal computer and various software packages. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.
