Forklift Operator

Warehouse AssociateThis position is generally responsible for the accurate picking, counting, labeling, & racking of product in a cold freezer environment. This position requires regular and repetitive lifting of up to 50 pounds and stacking product to a pallet of up to 6 feet.Specific Accountabilities:- Move goods from production areas to freezer/cooler by using forklift or power jacks.- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments & pick frozen goods to orders accurately.- Scan inventory into racks- Label all inventory- Keep work area clean & safe at all times- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.- Complies with all Company and Federal Policies, Procedures and Regulations- Achieve departmental KPIs Job Description may change with or without prior noticeQualifications:- Must be able to read, write and do basic math- Must be able to work under pressure and in a cold warehouse environment- Must be Forklift certified- High school diploma or GED (preferred)- Ability to work independently and as a team to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given and standard accepted practices- Must be in compliance with Schweid & Sons policies and GMP procedures- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with GMP, USDA, OSHA- Must maintain regular and punctual attendance as well as work overtime as needed- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
