We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a team in Richmond, Virginia. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage accounting activities independently, maintain accurate records, and keep billing and payment processes running smoothly. The role requires strong QuickBooks expertise and a detail-oriented approach to reconciliations, payables, and receivables.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the complete bookkeeping cycle, ensuring financial records are accurate, current, and properly organized.
• Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and monitor outstanding obligations to maintain timely accounts payable activity.
• Prepare customer invoices, record incoming payments, and follow up on open balances to support efficient accounts receivable management.
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain and update accounting data within QuickBooks, ensuring transactions are entered correctly and consistently.
• Assist with month-end bookkeeping tasks, including reviewing account activity and preparing supporting documentation.
• Generate financial reports and provide clear recordkeeping support for business operations and decision-making.• Demonstrated experience handling full charge bookkeeping responsibilities in a detail-focused setting.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and confidence working within accounting software on a daily basis.
• Hands-on knowledge of accounts payable, including invoice review, payment processing, and record maintenance.
• Practical experience managing accounts receivable functions such as billing, cash application, and collections follow-up.
• Strong ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and investigate variances as needed.
• High attention to detail with solid organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple accounting tasks, and maintain confidentiality with financial information.
