Travel PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Shawnee, Kansas

This opportunity invites registered nurses with stepdown experience to broaden their skill set in a dynamic and collaborative environment, expanding clinical expertise through exposure to various patient populations and workplace approaches. Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour night shifts (19:00-07:30), three shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call
• Holiday coverage as needed (July 4th required)

Qualifications:

• Active KS RN or Compact RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years recent critical care or intensive care experience
• Proficiency with CRRT, Bipaps, drawing labs, managing chest tubes, PICC lines
• Capable of independently handling codes, patient consults, and floating to ICU, Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED as needed
• EPIC experience preferred
• Strong adaptability, leadership, and team collaboration

Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe and focused care for stepdown patients
• Act independently in urgent/emergency situations, including codes
• Float to various departments, adapting to high-acuity and med/surg assignments
• Manage advanced equipment and perform clinical tasks without a vascular access team
